Following Prime Minister Modi’s call for a pre-inauguration temple cleaning drive, actorKangana Ranaut set an example by sweeping the floor of Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi Temple on Sunday.
Ranaut, who arrived in Ayodhya for the upcoming ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on Monday, joined the initiative aimed at sprucing up temples before the momentous occasion.
“My aim is to motivate people to participate in this cleanliness drive,” she shared, “Ayodhya is adorned for the inauguration, and this initiative adds to the festive spirit.”
Videos and photos of Kangana sweeping the temple floor circulated widely online, showcasing her participation in the cleanliness drive. The actor also offered prayers at the temple.
A national campaign to clean temples has swept across India ahead of the historic ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ritual at the Ayodhya Ram Temple on Monday. Since the BJP launched the effort earlier this month, people from all walks of life have worked together to sanitize hallowed areas.
Setting an example, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used a mop and bucket to clean the grounds of the Kalaram Temple in Nashik, Maharashtra, to officially launch the Swachchata Abhiyan. His deed struck a deep chord and spurred a national wave of engagement.
From renowned actors like Kangana Ranaut and Jackie Shroff lending a hand at Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi Temple, to Union ministers and BJP leaders diligently cleaning shrines in their respective states, the campaign has gathered immense momentum. Visuals of countless citizens – young and old – picking up brooms and engaging in this collective act of service have become a heartwarming symbol of unity and devotion.
This display of group effort not only enhances the beauty of these beloved monuments but also highlights the great importance of the approaching event. The countrywide cleaning campaign is a striking example of the devotion and faith that unite India as it gets ready for the historic consecration of the Ram Mandir.
