The President’s Secretariat has announced the opening of the Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan for public viewing. The gardens will be accessible from February 2nd to March 31st, six days a week (excluding Mondays dedicated to maintenance). Visitors can choose from six hourly slots between 10 AM and 4 PM.

The capacity for the two morning slots (10 AM to 12 noon) will accommodate 7,500 visitors on weekdays and 10,000 visitors in each slot on weekends, as per the statement. For the four afternoon slots (12 noon to 4 PM), the capacity will be 5,000 visitors in each slot on weekdays and 7,500 visitors on weekends. Additionally, the Amrit Udyan will cater to special categories on specific dates: February 22 (for differently-abled persons), February 23 (for personnel of defense, paramilitary, and police forces), March 1 (for women and tribal women’s self-help groups), and March 5 (for children of orphanages).

Walk-in visitors must register at facilitation counters and the self-service kiosk near gate no 12 of Rashtrapati Bhavan, according to the statement. Entry and exit for all visitors will be through gate no 35 of the President’s Estate, located near the intersection of North Avenue and Rashtrapati Bhavan.

To enhance visitor convenience, a shuttle bus service from Central Secretariat Metro Station to gate no 35 will run every 30 minutes between 9:30 AM to 5 PM, the statement noted.

During the tour, visitors will traverse through the Bonsai Garden, Musical Fountain, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. Food courts will be available at the exit. Visitors are allowed to bring mobile phones, electronic keys, purses/handbags, water bottles, and milk bottles for infants.

The statement also highlighted provisions for drinking water, toilets, and first aid/medical facilities at various locations along the public route.
