Indore’s 8 year old boy with Down Syndrome & Hole in Heart, Climbs Everest

Avneesh Tiwari, an 8 year old boy, marked an inspiration for the world. With sheer determination and dedication, the boy, who is suffering for many diseases including Chromomal Down Syndrome and a hole in heart climbed the Mount Everest. He hoisted the tri-colour after reaching a height of 18,200 ft. The story of this young boy has set an example for many. Avneesh became the first child in the world to climb Mount Everest at the age of 7.

Avneesh comes from Indore, MP and has successfully climbed the Mount Everest along with his father, Aditya Tiwari. Avneesh is all set to receive Prime Minister’s Child Award and PM Narendra Modi will be interacting with Avneesh on 23rd January. He will also be a part of the Republic Day Parade on 26th January 2024.

Avneesh. along with his father, set out on the journey to Everest o 14th April 2023. They reached at the top on 19th April and came back to Indore on 23rd April 2023. During the journey, Avneesh survived on plain Dal and Roti while his father ate only fruits. Avneesh carried 70kgs with him during his journey out of which. 10 kgs were his medicines.

Avneesh was adopted by Aditya at the mere age of 7 months. His parents had left him as he was suffering from down syndrome. Aditya, a social worker in Indore met him in the orphanage and struggled a lot to adopt him. Avneesh has a hole in his heart since birth and is also weak in the knees. Despite the disabilities, he showed courage to do something and has now become an example of many people around the world.
